Lot 1109: Pr of rare 19th c Civil War theme cast iron fence panels depicting crossed Springfield rifles, crossed sabers, a US ammo pouch, and a parade hat as shown in the 1870 catalog of Robert Wood & Co, 1136 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia, PA. Each panel is 66"V wide and 46" high, This company is believed to have supplied gates and fencing to the Gettysburg and Antietam Battlefield Cemetaries. A pr of quatrafoil shaped posts with flame tops and a sqaure post come along with thew 2 panels. The star and spear crest rails need to be reattached and one of them is in 2 pieces.
