Lot 1051: Whitney 1798 U.S. contract musket. Style 3 category. One of the last 500 made. Inspector marks of Charles William. Top jaw missing from hammer. Screw broken. Lock marked "New Haven" and "U. States". 42 3/4" barrel marked "SNJ".
