We are pleased to present at public auction the Americana collection of Lucien Alphonse Lejambre of Bordentown, NJ. This collection was formed since the 1930’s when Al traveled with his father and his uncle through the countryside of the Delaware Valley to auctions, private homes, and dealers buying and selling Americana. The collection is comprised of over 200 early glass and metal lighting devices and lamps, over 150 lots of early NJ and other redware, stoneware, pottery, historical and other Staffordshire, other early English ceramics such as Sunderland and Derby, early blown flasks and bottles, antique clocks including a John Wood Philadelphia brass dial tall clock, a Pearson/Hollinshead Burlington County brass dial clock, pillar & scroll, banjo, and other clocks, Currier & Ives presidential portraits, early pewter, brass andirons and fireplace accessories, 2 CI David & Goliath firebacks, an extraordinary offering of early Delaware Valley furniture including a walnut Chester Co high chest, walnut QA chest on frame, walnut slant lid secretary desk, 2 nice corner cupboards, rare QA slipper foot rectangular tea table, walnut 2 part QA looking glass, 4-5 fretwork wall mirrors, trifid foot chair, mah cross stretcher Pembroke table, cherry Chippendale card table, mah lolling chair, wal fluted corner 4 dr Chippendale chest, other walnut & cherry Chippendale & Hepplewhite chests, walnut QA roundabout chair, good splay leg and other stands in walnut & pine, wal Wm & Mary gateleg table, mah dish top suppressed ball candlestand, other candlestands and a nice tea table, fine set of 6 Philadelphia fanback Windsors in old paint, Lancaster Co. lowback Windsor armchair, bamboo Windsor settle, comb back armchair (ended out), sack back armchair, other Windsor side chairs, some early textiles, quilts, and coverlets, we have not yet emptied the attic or the 3 sets of outbuildings in this time capsule collection and these are sure to yield more treasure!
